Dallas & Tara’s Surprise Proposal

Documenting Dallas’ surprise proposal to Tara was so exciting! The two had never been to Fort Smith before, but Dallas knew he wanted to pop the question during their trip. We planned for Saturday, despite the gloomy forecast, and by some stroke of luck, the rain paused just in time! I had even picked up a couple of clear umbrellas the day before—just in case we had to roll with the storm.

We started at the beautiful Celebration Garden and Wellness Park in Barling. Tara thought they were just doing a casual Valentine’s couples shoot—she had no idea what was coming! Conveniently, they had just been shopping, so she had plenty of outfits to choose from. As we wandered through the park, I guided them toward the fountain, and when the moment was right, Dallas got down on one knee. Tara turned to see him and was completely surprised!

I had such a blast capturing this special moment. Engagement sessions aren’t just about the photos—they’re about celebrating love and getting to know each other in the process.
