Miya & Trent’s Sunset Proposal

Planning my own sister’s surprise proposal? Nerve-wracking! Miya had been not-so-patiently waiting for this moment, so keeping it a secret was no easy task. But with a little teamwork, my mom and I joined forces with Trent to pull off the perfect plan before he had to leave town for work.

While Miya thought she and Trent were headed to a fancy dinner, we were busy setting up at Mount Sequoyah Garden in Fayetteville. A trail of flower petals, roses, and candles led the way to the big moment. The sky had been gloomy all day, but—almost like it was meant to be—the sun broke through right as Trent got down on one knee, casting the most beautiful golden-hour glow over the whole location!
